As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to see Goodfellas at the pictures...
It is widely renowned as one of the best gangster movies of all-time - and amongst the greatest films ever full-stop. Indeed many rate Goodfellas as Martin Scorsese's ultimate masterpiece.
Based on Nicholas Pileggi's 1985 non-fictional book Wiseguy: Life in a Mafia Family, the 1990 production boasts a stellar cast including Ray Liotta, Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci and Lorraine Bracco.
Now, nearly three decades after its cinematic debut, the seminal film is returning to the big screen in the new year. It is being shown on screens across the UK from January 20th in a glorious 4K restoration, courtesy of BFI in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures International.
In anticipation of the new high-definition release, the mafia classic has a brand new trailer that you can check out below. Now that's an offer you can't refuse! (Wrong gangster movie, idiot.)
