The 65-year-old German Ambassador to India has found a novel way of ingratiating himself to his host country – by starring in his own Bollywood video.
Along with his wife, Eliese, and Salman Khurshid, the former Foreign Minister of India, Steiner reenacts a scene-by-scene remake of Kal Ho Naa Ho, a hit song from the film of the same name.
And it’s no p*ss-take parody either, as the Ambassador tackles each melodramatic scene with total conviction. From wooing the object of his affections to seemingly dying at the end.
