George Clooney: Politics is not for me

George Clooney has insisted that he has no interest in leaving the Hollywood Hills for Capitol Hill and entering politics...
The veteran actor is well-known for being outspoken on various political issues close to his heart, but he has no plans to run for political office himself. "I grew up in a time and a family, I was politically active long before I was famous but I don't want to go into it. Would you? it doesn't look appealing," said Clooney.
"Every time I'm asked I say 'no' and then every time I open up the papers it says 'Guess who's going into politics?"
Not that this means an end to the actor's vocal stance on various issues ranging from foreign aid to military policy.
"I grew up in the sixties where you really were taught that your voice, your responsibility in life is to participate, not just in your own life but in everyone else's...the future isn't inevitable and we have a say in how it ends."Explore more on these topics:
