Gamescom 2017: The best trailers from Europe’s biggest games show

Can't wait to get our hands on these.

Wil Jones

Need all of these.

Gamescom is the second largest gaming event in the world, and the largest in Europe – and it’s happening right now. Plenty of massive titles have been announced, or had new footage revealed, and we’ve complied the best here in one convenient location.

Star Wars Battlefront II

The sequel to 2015’s Star Wars Battlefront (itself a reboot of the 00s series of games) looks set to add a single-player campaign that spans the entire Star Wars timeline – the new trailer gives us a brief glimpse of Darth Vader, and name checks Poe Dameron.

Assassin’s Creed Origins

There’s no new gameplay footage from the new Egyptian-set Assassin’s Creed instalment, but it’s still a pretty impressive cinematic to get you hyped.

Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition

Final Fantasy XV managed to get a lot of the series’ goodwill back after the MMO XIV – and now Square Enix are capitalising with this super-cute version for mobile devices. It’s different, we’ll give them that….

Destiny 2

The sequel to Bungie’s much-hyped space shooter drops next month.

Biomutant

Telltale’s Guardians of the Galaxy adventure game had been pretty well received, but if you ever wanted a full-on action game starring Rocket Racoon, this game from the developers behind Just Cause might be your best option.

Call Of Duty: WWII

We’ve already seen a lot of Call of Duty’s much-heralded return to the Second World War, but this gives us a glimpse at the new Headquarters mode.

FIFA 18

Another trailer for FIFA 18 – sadly there’s not sign of the rumoured addition of a FIFA Street mode. ‘Blue Monday’ makes everything cooler, though.

The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs

The latest Sim 4 expansion gives you furry friends to love and look after/neglect (delete as appropriate).

Jurassic World Evolution

Remember Jurassic Park III: Park Builder? That wasn’t very good, but this new take on doing a simulation based on the franchise looks like it could be the Theme Park-with-dinosaurs we’ve always wanted.

Injustice 2 DLC

One for the comic book nerds here – the DC fighting game goes into inter-company crossover mde as none other than Hellboy will be fighting alongside Superman and Batman.
