At the end of Game of Thrones, we’re fairly certain that it’s going to be Tim Riggins that ends up on the Iron Throne.
Granted, the fullback/running back for the Dillon Panthers doesn’t have three dragons, control of The North, or any presence at all in Westeros, but who are we to doubt the great man?
After all, we did argue that you can base your entire life around his learned teachings and just remember, whenever you’re faced with an important decision in life, just ask yourself one thing, what would Riggins do?
Despite the fact that he’s always going to be ‘Texas Forever,’ Taylor Kitsch has lined up a new show and it has some serious pedigree.
Deadline have reported that HBO are developing a drama from writers John Barcheski (Sons of Anarchy) and Robert Munic (Ice), with Kitsch (Friday Night Lights) set to star and Matt Shakman (Game of Thrones) lined up to direct.
While Kitsch is undoubtedly the big attraction, the main draw here is the fact that Matt Shakman is directing.
As Game of Thrones fans will know, he was the man responsible for the epic episode, The Spoils of War – the one where Daenerys’ dragons destroyed the Lannister forces on the field of fire -but away from Westeros, his C.V is extremely good.
Shakman has also directed 43 episodes of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia including The Nightman Cometh, The Gang Goes to the Jersey Shore, Thunder Gun Express , The Gang Dines Out, and the utterly brilliant, Charlie Work.
He’s also done episodes of Six Feet Under, Fargo, House, and countless other, but Game of Thrones and Always Sunny will always come out first.
With regards to this new show, we’re told that the “drama follows the story of Chris Klug (Kitsch), a young, family oriented, drug dealer who catches the wrong end of a bad batch of dope that leaves him in a temporary vegetative state, only to discover that it was no accident and someone close to him was in fact trying to take him out. Told through flashbacks and Chris’ present-day purgatory, the series is a rich family drama full of revenge, love and humor as Chris Klug fights his way back.”
