Game of Thrones fans can see the season premiere at the same time as the US

July 17 can't come soon enough

Paul Moore

Great news. July 17 can’t come soon enough.

If you didn’t know how much of a big deal Game of Thrones is, the fact that 3 million people watched a block of ice being melted in a bid to learn the premiere date for Season 7 is all the proof you need.

Winter is here…well it’s coming on July 17, but you get our message.

While Season 6 didn’t exactly finish on an epic cliffhanger on Jon Snow vs Night’s Watch proportions, it was still incredibly good and Thrones fans are counting down the days until we see Daenerys and her dragons landing on the shores of Westeros.

The reveal of the premiere date really did test the patience of some people – Christ, couldn’t they just have let Drogon burn that block of ice? – but we do have some good news because yet again, Sky Atlantic will be simulcasting the very first episode of Season 7.

If you’re one of the many, many people that absolutely hate having episodes ruined by those pesky spoilers and people tweeting/talking, this should be music to your ears. What type of music? A Song of Fire and Ice of course.

All together now, Dracarys!
