G-Eazy has a night he’d probably like to forget in his latest music video

Will Lavin

Have you ever been so drunk that the next morning you woke up in a dump?

G-Eazy has, or at least in his new music video he does.

Featuring Charlie Puth, “Sober” examines the different symptoms we go through once alcohol is thrown into the mix on a night out. While there are ups there are also downs.

Going back in time and looking at what nights out on the town used to look like, G travels through the forties, fifties and sixties until he ends up getting the brakes beaten off of him in the nineties which then finally transports him back into present day where he ends up falling into a ton of trash bags where he remains until he wakes up.

Reflecting on bad decisions made thanks to copious amounts of alcohol entering his system, sex, drugs and rock and roll are all a part of the narrative built into “Sober”.

Taken from his recent album The Beautiful & Damned, the track has already had over 39 million streams on Spotify.

The track follows the huge success of “Him & I” featuring Halsey, which has amassed over 220 million streams on Spotify to date and made it into the top 10 U.S. iTunes chart.

Visiting the UK later this year, G-Eazy’s The Beautiful & Damned tour starts in Glasgow on May 29th.
