While various politicians continue to flounder, choke, and, well, talk complete and utter shite regarding Brexit, we can find solace in the fact that comedians have been very quick to take them down a peg or two
Andrew Maxwell, Dara Ó Briain, and Patrick Kielty have been the most prominent voices when it comes to speaking out about the baffling statements that have been made by politicians on the topic of Anglo-Irish relations over the last 12 months but as stated previously, Frankie Boyle's New World Order gave the Scottish comedian his time to shine.
After discussing Theresa May's troubling year, the inability to get her Brexit deal through, and Jeremy Corby's ineffectual leadership, Boyle jokingly said: "Brexit has a lot of problems but I think it would be quite nice for the Irish to a watch a British famine."
The comedian didn't stop there though as he had Dominic Raab, the former Brexit secretary, and Bono in his sights.
This being said, plenty of people noticed his line about Brexit and the Famine.

"The man of the year was Dominic Raab. A man who resigned because he couldn't agree to a deal that he himself had negotiated. Dominic Raab could be outmanoeuvred by a statue of Stephen Hawking. To be fair to him, he didn't want to be Brexit secretary but he didn't have the negotiating skills to turn it down" joked Boyle.
On May's leadership, her Brexit deal, and negotiating with the EU, he said that: "we have nothing to negotiate with, we have no leverage. It's a bit like your septic tank has exploded and you're covered in head to toe with shit. You're phoning up the plumber and saying 'I'm prepared to offer you a deal'."
Finally, Boyle weighed in on Ireland's decision to legalise abortion and repeal the Eighth Amendment
"In Ireland, people voted to legalise abortion...just 59 years too late to stop Bono," he joked.
