The Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer further teases multiple Spideys

The film finally opens in cinemas on December 15

The first minutes of Spider-Man: No Way Home have been released.

In the clip, Spider-Man is seeing saving his high-school girlfriend MJ from being mobbed by a crowd after his identity has been leaked by Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio.

The clip doesn’t last long but it’s enough to get in some web-slinging action, as Spidey and his girlfriend MJ spring around New York City together to evade the crowds.

They fly past billboard signs with Peter Parker’s face splashed across them, some reading ‘Public Enemy #1’.

The clip was revealed in a section of the US talk show Late Night With Seth Meyers where Tom Holland was a recent guest.

In the new film, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man gets help from Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, following his superhero identity being outed at the end of the last entry, Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Elsewhere in the film, Doctor Octopus, played by Alfred Molina, returns, as does Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin and Thomas Haden Church’s Sandman. Other returning villains include the Lizard, played by Rhys Ifans and Jamie Foxx’s Electro.

The latest edition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise also stars Zendaya as girlfriend MJ, Iron Man‘s Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan and Marisa Tomei as Aunt May.

No Way Home picks up straight after 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home left off.

Speaking recently on the promotional circuit for the new film, Spider-Man actor Tom Holland sounded like he was in a tricky situation almost akin to Spidey’s when he said he doesn’t know if he wants to be an actor anymore.

He revealed to Sky he’s having a “pre-midlife crisis at 25”.

“I don’t even know if I want to be an actor,” he said. “I started acting when I was 11 and I haven’t done anything else. I’d like to do other things.”
