The long-awaited Ted Bundy biopic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile has been grabbing headlines causing controversy since it was first announced – especially for Zac Efron’s performance as Bundy himself.

The movie looks set to see Efron shed his High School Musical image once and for all by playing one of the most notorious serial killers in American history.

With the movie almost upon us, we have an exclusive clip from the film, never before seen online. It’s a court scene with Ted Bundy on trial. It shows Efron oozing menace, as well as giving us a glimpse at John Malkovich and The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parson in the film as well.

Check it out.

The official synopsis reads:

Ted Bundy (Efron): handsome, smart, charismatic, affectionate. Liz Kloepfer (Collins): a single mother, cautious, but smitten.  A picture of domestic bliss, the two seem to have it all figured out, until Ted is arrested and charged with a series of increasingly grisly murders.  As concern turns to paranoia, Liz is forced to consider how well she knows the man she shares a life with and, as the evidence piles up, decide if Ted is truly a victim or guilty as charged.

Directed by Academy-Award nominee Joe Berlinger (Paradise Lost) the film also stars Kaya Scodelario (The Maze Runner trilogy), Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense), Angela Sarafyan (Westworld), Jim Parsons (TV’s The Big Bang Theory) and John Malkovich (Deepwater Horizon).

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile in cinemas and on Sky Cinema this Friday May 3rd.
