Bird Box has had the most successful first week of any Netflix film ever

Netflix has been made a habit of being coy about their viewing figures. As they are a subscription service, and thus don't rely on advertisers, they don't have to release any data on how many people are actually watching their shows. The only really let any information out when they want to rave about how well something has done - like the incredible success of To All The Boys I've Loved Before earlier this year. Bird Box debuted on December 21st, and seems to have made its way into a lot of people's Christmas viewing.
