The first of its kind here in the UK, Speedmachine 2018 takes place May 25th – 27th and marks the start of a new movement in automative festivals.

With Dizzee Rascal and Lethal Bizzle onboard, as well as the likes of Basement Jaxx and Razorlight, the Sliverstone-hosted festival is built around the British leg of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy.

So aside from live entertainment by the aforementioned artists, there’s also eGaming, drifting, historic car displays, the best in street food, world championship racing, and fans will also get the chance to get behind the wheel on the Silverstone track!

Other artists on the bill include funk and soul DJ (and former Red Dwarf crew member) Craig Charles, Killa Kela, The Fedz, Dat Brass, DJ BBQ and a host of DJs from the iconic Ministry of Sound imprint, who Speedmachine has signed a partnership with to form a part of the weekend’s truly exciting lineup. MOS DJs will also be performing in the VIP areas.

All music will take place after the track action has ended, guaranteeing no action is missed. And by action they mean the head-to-head short, sharp racing on mixed surfaces (dirt and asphalt) in Supercars that have the ability to accelerate from 0 – 60mph in less than two seconds – faster than a Formula One car – on a purpose-built permanent track using the famous Stowe complex at the legendary Silverstone.

Paul Bellamy, World RX Managing Director for IMG, said of the festival:

“It’s always been our desire at IMG to create a large scale festival weekend with World Championship motorsport at the heart of it and we are delighted that Silverstone is able to share our vision for the future. The move comes at a pivotal time in Rallycross history with the sport having recently celebrated its 50th anniversary as the championship continues to experience rapid growth.”
