Cristiano Ronaldo comes out top trumps in the FIFA 17 shooting ratings

Tom Huddlestone's in there too. No, really.

Another day, another bit of FIFA 17 news to salivate over…

EA Sports are doing their hardest to spoil every interesting tidbit build anticipation for the new game by slowly revealing player ratings for all the game’s most sought after stats.

We’ve had FIFA 17’s top skill, strength and pace players shown to us already. Now it’s time to figure out who’s got the best shooting skills.

And it looks like FIFA 17 belongs to one man this year.

Cristiano Ronaldo has the best shot ability in world football according to FIFA 17, coming number one in their Top 10 list with a rating of 92.

The result sees CR7 continue to edge Messi in the FIFA 17 rankings, as the Argentinian can only muster a rating of 90 in second place. Pathetic.

2-Messi

The second best player in world football according to FIFA 17. Awful.

The top five is rounded out by Ibrahimovic (3rd – 90 shooting ability), Suarez (4th – 90 shooting ability) and Aguero (5th – 88 shooting ability).

Separating the thunderbastards from the twatweasels (that’s a really hard shot struck from inside the park), and EA Sports also revealed who has the highest shot power in the game, which threw up a rather interesting result…

It appears there was a method behind the madness of Lukas Podolski’s 129 caps for Germany: he’s hiding Thor’s hammer in that left boot of his.

He might not be the top-rated but Podolski came in a very respectable third in FIFA 17’s shot power rankings, and 10th in their shot ability table. FUT players, sign him up.

Ronaldo and Zlatan come in first and second place respectively for the hardest shot in the game, and surprisingly, Hull’s Tom Huddlestone is boasting a cannon of a right foot too, with the fifth highest rating for the stat.

The full list, for both stats, including a high shot power rating for Derby’s Bradley Johnson can be found here.

We’ll see you on the pitch shortly. The FIFA 17 demo is out tomorrow after all…

FIFA 17 is released in the UK on September 29.
