Come Dine With Me is no stranger to spectacular dinner table bust-ups. It's the reason we watch it.
Watching a series of well-planned and prepared dinner parties that then go off without a hitch wouldn't really make for compelling TV.
Which is presumably why the show's producers pick the sort of combustible personalities and outsized egos that have given Come Dine With Me some of its most memorable moments.

But it seems that contestants on show can sometimes go too far for even the producers. As appeared to happen in a recent episode based in Scotland when 40-year-old Rory Nicholl, was removed mid show without explanation.
The music producer had become embroiled in a bizarre row on the first night with fellow diner Darren Esposito over who is the most talented member of Take That. Which is absurd in itself, as it's patently Jason Orange.
However when the show cut back for the next dinner party the show's narrater Dave Lamb, cryptically announced:
"Darren’s only cooking for two after incidents that occurred away from the dinner party. Rory’s been removed from the competition and his score’s been deducted from Jennifer’s night."
The sudden disappearance sparked confusion among viewers who soon took to Twitter to voice they annoyance with the #WhereIsRory hashtag.
One fan was so intent of getting to bottom of the mystery he put in a Freedom of Information request to Channel 4.

Well the mystery has now been lain to rest after one of the contestants on the show, Jennifer Judge, explained what happened offscreen.
Talking to the
Dunfermline Press, she said:
"I loved meeting the others and me and my husband are going along to one of their 40th birthdays. There was a bit of a drama though and a first on the show.
"On the first night everybody came to mine and on the second night the host had a bit of argument with the other gentleman.
"The producer said if the host didn’t apologise he would get kicked off the show and he didn’t!"
Mystery solved.
