An unfaithful boyfriend was in for quite a shock when his girlfriend managed to catch him cheating live on air during a radio broadcast with the help of two presenters.
Back in 2021, Sharyn Casey and Jayden King were running their self-titled show on New Zealand radio station The Edge like it was any other day, when a female caller phoned in to explain how she thought her boyfriend of five years was cheating on her.
With the help of Sharyn and Jayden, the trio devised a plan to catch the cheater out live on-air, and the bloke walked right into it. Brace for impact.
As you can see in the excreucuiatingly uncomfortable clip, Casey takes the reins by calling the unsuspecting man under the false pretence of arranging a birthday surprise for the other woman he has been seeing, making sure to check if the pair are “official” or at least “dating” as she thought.
Unaware that his confession is being broadcast live on national radio, the boyfriend says “it’s pretty offish… I guess you could say we are – we’re mates but it’s a bit more serious that that.” Casey then drops the bombshell as King sits back, wide-eyed and in disbelief.
You and us both, mate.
To make matters worse, the adulterer then tries to back out of the sticky situation by suggesting that she might have called the wrong person. Sharyn quickly reconfirms his name and the other woman’s name, as well as their place of work before he simply concedes defeat and hangs up.
Proceeding to call the person ‘X’, the pair try to console her and apologise for hitting her with such a harsh reality. The caller insists she had only seen her suspicions confirmed, stating that it was “f***ed up” to hear out loud but that she appreciated them helping expose him.
Empathising with her, the pair then tell her that they are going to take her on a night out to forget about the bad boyfriend and better still, they even caught up with her on August 23, 2022:
After explaining how the cheater was deeply embarrassed and upset, sending her a long apology following the viral moment, the pair of presenters found the previously aggrieved ex-girlfriend in a much better place. Not only has she now found a new partner but the two got engaged back in April, and she is now happy with “the love of [her] life”
The woman also revealed that she bumped into the other woman in a bar months later and learned that she had been seeing multiple people at the time. Last but not least, she also got a rightfully-owed dig in, saying that she hopes the unnamed cheater is still cringing somewhere living it all over again. God knows we were.
