Caped Crusader Season 2 Lands 82% Audience Score

Batman: Caped Crusader has returned in style, with the animated Prime Video series landing an 82% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes for its second season. The DC show released its new episodes on Friday, 31 July, marking one of the year’s biggest wins for the Dark Knight.

Why Caped Crusader season 2 is winning fans

The 82% audience rating is a significant jump from season one, which currently sits at 55%, according to ScreenRant. The critics are on board too, with the new season holding a 90% score, placing it among other unconventional takes on Batman that have captured attention this year.

Much of the praise has centred on the show’s fresh version of the Joker, voiced by Matthew Needham, whose menacing turn has become a talking point among fans of the noir-tinged series. In ScreenRant’s review, critic Felipe Rangel highlighted how the new episodes reinvent the Joker for a darker, more grounded incarnation of Gotham’s most famous villain.

With strong scores from both audiences and critics, the second run has cemented Caped Crusader as one of the most well-received versions of the character currently on screen.
