Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey are “overjoyed” after announcing that they welcomed their baby girl this week.

The Big Bang Theory and Flight Attendant star, and her partner, who stars in Ozark, revealed the news in an Instagram post on Saturday.

Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey was born on March 30.

Kaley, who played Penny in the cult show, wrote in the caption that Matilda was “the new light of our lives”.

“We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle,” the 37-year-old wrote, adding: “Thank you to the doctors, nurses, family and friends who have helped us immensely over the last few days. We are blessed beyond belief.”

Tagging her boyfriend and the father of her child, she added: “@tommypelphrey didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you, but I did.”

Tom, 40, also shared a post on Instagram to announce the news, using a quote from the poet Rumi to introduce his newborn. “’You are the Soul of the Universe. And your name is Love.’ -Rumi.

The 40-year-old’s caption continued: “My heart is full of love and gratitude for this miracle… Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey 3/30.

“Eternally grateful for the strength and bravery of my soulmate and best friend @kaleycuoco. You are incredible.”

The couple announced they were expecting a baby together in an Instagram post in October.

Kaley shared photos from their gender reveal party, of a positive pregnancy test, and a baby grow, and wrote: “Baby girl Pelphrey coming 2023. Beyond blessed and over the moon.”

Sharing similar photos to his own Instagram feed, Tom added: “And then it was even more better. Love you more than ever @kaleycuoco.”

The couple met after being set up through their manager, Andrea Pett-Joseph.

Kaley told USA of the first time she met him, saying: “I was standing with Andrea and Tom walked in, and I heard his voice, and I turned around, and it was like my life was over, or just starting.

“It hit me. It was love at first sight. We were immediately connected. I do feel like I’ve known him my whole life, but I wasn’t ready for him. We’re ready to build a life together.”
