The closing date for applications is just two weeks from now.
We’re all collectively coming down from the drama and tension of last night’s The Traitors season three finale.
If you haven’t yet watched how the episode unfolded, stop reading now because there are about to be some major spoilers.
Last night’s finale kicked off with a nail-biting new twist coming into play for the very first time.
Host Claudia Winkleman introduced a new feature called The Seer into the game – a power given to one of the players which allows them to invite one other player to a private meeting where that player has to reveal whether they are a faithful or a traitor.
The Seer can then decide what to do with that game-changing piece of information.
At the end of Thursday’s penultimate episode, Frankie – who had won the Seer power during an earlier mission – surprised viewers by choosing the only remaining traitor, Charlotte, to reveal their true identity.
Frankie chose Charlotte believing she was a true and committed faithful, and sought to affirm that belief going into the final.
Instead, at the beginning of last night’s final, Frankie discovered that her close friend Charlotte was a traitor, bringing about pure and utter chaos.
What came next was an awkward battle of wills as Frankie and Charlotte went head-to-head to convince the others of their innocence, with Charlotte turning the tables on her pal and accusing Frankie of being a traitor.
Neither Frankie or Charlotte emerged victorious from this mind game melee, as Leanne and Jake finished the game as the last two players standing.
Francesca, Leanne, Alexander, Jake and Charlotte were the five remaining contestants going into the tense final.
But it was the faithfuls who managed to out smart the traitors and bag the £94,600 prize money.
If you have been sat on your couch over the last three weeks thinking to yourself: ‘I could spot any of those traitors a mile off’, then why not back yourself fully and fill in the application form for next year’s game.
Applications for The Traitors UK 2026 opened as soon as last night’s episode finished and, as long as you’re over 18-years-old, you can throw your hat in the ring.
If you are good at strategy games, consider yourself good at reading people, or you’re just a brilliant liar and have an insatiable urge to be a traitor, head to the BBC website and apply.
You will be joining a team of players alongside whom you will compete in a series of missions. The more missions you compete successfully, the bigger the prize pot you could end up winning.
It’s one of the most entertaining and challenging games of trust and treachery. However, if you play the game right, you could end up as next year’s Jake or Leanne and emerge victorious.
The closing date for applications is 9 February, so get on it if you fancy your chances!
