The new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here started on Sunday evening and legendary presenting duo Ant and Dec kicked things off with a bit of topical sporting humour, taking a cheeky little dig at the recently sacked Solskjær. Ole Gunnar Solskjær was officially relieved of his duties on Sunday November 21, following an emergency meeting that came after Saturday's 4-1 defeat to Watford - an accumulation of embarrassing defeats. Unsurprisingly, the two football-loving Geordies didn't waste any time tackling the hot topic of the day. As the pair looked to introduce this year's line-up of contestants, Dec said: "We start with an unemployed ex-footballer from the 1990s", with Ant quickly chiming back, "Ole Gunnar Solskjær?" before sarcastically pointing and saying: "That's football". They were, of course, referring to David Ginola: the 54-year-old French footballer who used to play for their own team, Newcastle United, whose participation in the show has been well-publicised. That being said, as far as footy jokes go, this was a tap in. The ever-popular I'm A Celeb hosts have always been pretty good at working in timely jokes to their schtick on relatively short notice. Tough as the decision may have been to take for the 48-year-old Norweigan coach - as proved by the emotional interview following his departure - we're sure he'll be more than able to take it on that baby-faced chin of his. While the rest of football Twitter - and rival fans on social media - were no doubt revelling in the high-profile dismissal, both current and former players led the tributes to the Manchester United legend. Perhaps one of the most damning things to have come out as his leadership unravelled was some of the reported team talks and tactics he employed throughout his tenure, which (if true) are beyond baffling. All manner of names are being mentioned in the conversation of who'll take the job next: Mauricio Pochettino, Zinedine Zidane - Erik ten Hag - even Steve Bruce.
