The three-eyed raven has delivered.

If you haven’t seen the most recent episode of Game of Thrones then we urge you to do so immediately, but as always, consider this your spoiler alert warning.

Melisandre Spoiler

Jon Snow may have performed the greatest resurrection since E.T, but audiences won’t be allowed to have any time to relax because the next episode of Game Of Thrones is shaping up to be an absolute humdinger.

It seems that we’re finally getting a glimpse at the events that unfolded at the Tower of Joy, and perhaps an insight into the true identity of Jon Snow’s parents.

Take a look at the trailer below. It appears that there’s a very young Ned Stark popping up at the 02:27 mark.

As we now know, Bran’s warging skills have been greatly enhanced by the time that he has spent with the three-eyed raven. Bran is now capable of getting a glimpse into the past and we’re already being teased about an incredibly important moment in Game Of Thrones history.

A quick recap. After Prince Rhaegar Targaryen abducted Lyanna Stark (Ned’s sister who was betrothed to Robert Baratheon), the entire realm was plunged into war as Robert’s Rebellion ultimately ended the Targaryen rule.

The Tower of Joy in Dorne was where Ned Stark found his sister, lying in a pool of her own blood and close to death. The TV show has lead us to believe that Lyanna was murdered, but it’s widely speculated that she died during child birth.

The popular theory states that Lyanna asked Ned Stark to protect her newborn child, a certain Jon Snow.

In the trailer for the next episode entitled ‘Oathbreaker’, we get a glimpse at Ned Stark squaring up to Ser Oswell Whent, Lord Commander Gerold Hightower and Ser Arthur Dayne, known as the finest knight in the Seven Kingdoms, but Ned’s not alone.

Howland Reed is in tow for what promises to be a bloody brilliant fight.

Outside of the unseen Reed, anyone who knows the truth about what occurred at the Tower of Joy has since passed away, but it seems that Thrones fans will finally be getting a glimpse at what actually happened.

Jon Snow will want to have his eyes opened for this.
