What is the UK’s real COVID-19 death toll?

40,000 people – that’s how many Britons the Financial Times says have died during this coronavirus pandemic. That figure is more than double the government’s official figure of less than 20,000.

Many of those people have died in care homes.

JOE reports on the grim state of affairs in British care homes during the coronavirus pandemic, the protection (or lack thereof) being offered, and looks at why the government would not count these deaths in its official figures.
