Man gets warning from ChatGPT after repeatedly sexting with robot

This is why people can’t have nice things

A man has gotten a written warning from ChatGPT after repeatedly sexting with the artificial intelligence assistant.

ChatGPT has been one of the biggest taking points in recent years as we sit on the cusp of an AI revolution that could transform how we live.

The bot can be used for almost everything, from creating recipes, to solving quantum physics equations to writing poetry, yet, as with anything, there’s always someone who has to take things too far.

Unsurprisingly this story originates from a post on everyone’s favourite site for stark admissions and internet therapy, Reddit.

This user admitted to ‘sexting’ the bot and has claimed they have received a written warning from its creators OpenAI.

In the post the user said: “Been sexting with ChatGPT since the beginning and continuously improving my jailbreaking skills. Sometimes my inputs are red or orange flagged but never got any trouble before.”

“However, today, the second after one of my inputs was orange flagged, I received an email threatening to terminate my services. Has anyone received similar emails?” the user pondered.

The post included a picture of the email they were sent by ChatGPT’s creators OpenAI.

The letter read: “We are reaching out to you as a user of OpenAI’s ChatGPT because some of the requests have been flagged by our systems to be in violation of our policies.”

“Please ensure you are using ChatGPT in accordance with our terms of use and our usage guidelines, as your access may be terminated if we detect further issues with your usage.”

OpenAI’s current rules around the bot ban most sexually explicit or suggestive content, however Reddit users have shared advice in an attempt to bypass the restrictions.

OpenAI has conceded to certain interests of people who will inevitably search for with the organisation admitting to exploring the idea of the ability for the AI to create adult content “in age appropriate contexts”.

This of course opens a whole can of worms concerning deepfakes and a further moral argument on the technology’s use.
