Great news, 80s sci-fi fans: Actor Michael Biehn has confirmed he will be reprising his role as Corporal Duane Hicks from the 1986 classic Aliens in Neill Blomkamp’s upcoming sequel.
Biehn – who also starred in that other 80s blockbuster, Terminator – confirmed he would feature via Instagram during an appearance at Sheffield Comic Con.
Fan-favourite Hicks featured alongside Lt. Ellen Ripley in Blomkamp’s original concept art for what was then an unofficial Alien movie back in January.
Since then, 20th Century Fox have green lit the production and it’s hoped that Sigourney Weaver is on board to tackle the Xenomorphs one more time.
Blomkamp’s latest movie, Chappie, hit the big screen earlier in March to much acclaim.
