Yannick Carrasco’s agent admits Arsenal move is “difficult”

Arsenal are reportedly in talks for the former Atletico Madrid winger

The agent of Yannick Carrasco has said that his client could leave Dalian Yifang in the near future, despite admitting that a move away from the Chinese club could be “difficult to do”.

Carrasco made the move to China from Atletico Madrid last year but has reportedly struggled to settle. This is thought to have prompted interest in the Belgian international, with Arsenal and Inter Milan both said to be considering bringing him back to Europe.

Though Dalian Yifang are thought to be keen to recoup a £35m fee for Carrasco, Arsenal have reportedly opened talks over an initial loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer at the end of the season.

“There’s plenty of interest in Yannick from all over Europe because his family are having problems adapting to China,” Christophe Henrotay told Inter Dipendenza.

“He wants to be honest with them, and it’s for this reason that he’s talked to the club, informing them that he isn’t 100 percent focused because of his family’s difficulties.

“There’s the possibility that Dalian reward this honesty and talk to the clubs interested in him.”

Adding to this, Henrotay told Radio Rossonera (via Evening Standard): “Everything is possible but it seems difficult to do.

“It would need decisive and rapid movement by the interested clubs involved to discuss and deal with the current club of Carrasco.”

Meanwhile, Arsenal are also said to be close to announcing the signing of Denis Suarez from Barcelona. The midfielder is also poised to sign a loan deal until the end of the season with the possibility of this becoming permanent at the end of the season.
