Edgar is preparing for a fight against Chad Mendes at the TUF 22 finale, which takes place the night before UFC 194, and he would be the number one candidate should the Brazilian withdraw from the December 12 event.
But Edgar has revealed that he's not preparing for McGregor in the slightest as he doesn't foresee Aldo pulling out with just a week to go.
"I wasn’t banking on anybody pulling out," Edgar told MMAJunkie.
"With Jose doing it once already, I thought he was going to prepare the right way and make it to the date," Edgar added.
