So, it turns out we've been calling Inter Milan by the wrong name all our lives.
The Italian side take on Manchester City in the Champions League final on Saturday as they go in search of winning a fourth European title.
But ahead of the showdown in Istanbul, a lesson needs to be taught.
Formed in 1908, Football Club Internazionale never actually added Milan to the end of the name, as proved on social media and their club website, which only has the name 'Inter'.
Their club badge on the other hand did feature the letters FCIM until 2021 before changing it to only include the letters IM.
Inter aren't the only club to suffer confusion with their name away from home. Portuguese club Sporting are often known as Sporting Lisbon in other countries and LaLiga outfit Athletic Club are referred to as Athletic Bilbao.
Despite heading into the game as overwhelming underdogs, Inter boss Simone Inzaghi warned that his side cannot afford to make any mistakes if they are to deny City from winning a famous treble.
He said: "We know what kind of match to expect tomorrow, we know what kind of match we have to play. We know that Manchester City right now is probably the best team in the world.
"They have proved so in being defeated very few times, but we are aware of our Champions League campaign, we are proud of what we have done.
"We will do out best to play the final with high concentration, we must make no mistakes because our opponents are very very strong."
