West Ham are making a movie about their “well-received” stadium move, but at least they nailed the title

Not even one season and they're already making a movie.

West Ham's move away from the Boleyn Ground was as smooth as a fall down a staircase made of brillo pads, but Karren Brady still believes the story for the ages is worth immortalising through the medium of film. The London club made the move the London stadium and added the word London to their crest in order to really hammer (see what I did there?) home the point that they were from London. Unsurprisingly the fans have been struggling to warm to their somewhat bland new identity, but Brady's announcement at the Leaders Sport Business Summit at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday could (but it definitely won't) change their minds.

"We are making a film called 'Iron Men'. It is about West Ham supporters and the move from the Boleyn to the Olympic Stadium and what the move means to them."

"Rebranding ourselves was really important with the new stadium. We are in the London Stadium and we added the word London to our crest because we thought it had real global appeal." "Nobody else does it and that's exactly where we are. We are in the heart of London, in the foothills of the financial centre."

And the rewards of the rebrand have been absolutely glorious. Not only does the club have the greatest ever stadium since the dawn of competitive sports in the UK, but they've also rebranded. If you're still unsure whether or not that's a good thing or not, she offers a series of buzz words that should sway you in the right direction.

"We have the best stadium. There are some great stadiums in this country but there is only one Olympic stadium and it's ours and branded ours and it has really had a dynamic impact on the things that we can do." "So here we have this great stadium in London, much better prospects, facilities, travel links, everything than our old stadium but we charge a lower price. So we offer them more dynamic product at an inferior price which is quite dynamic and it has been so well received."
