Wesley Sneijder has another new club that isn’t Manchester United

Dry those eyes, Manchester United fans: Wesley Sneijder has yet again moved to another team that you don't support.

The Dutch midfielder was (along with that Gaitan bloke)  strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford for what seemed like every transfer window between 2007 and 2014, reportedly coming close to making the move on a couple of occasions. The former Ajax, Real Madrid and Internazionale star was released by Galatasaray in the summer, inking a deal with Ligue 1 side, Nice. This, however, hasn't worked out for Sneijder. After just four starts with Nice, he's been allowed to leave the club having struggled to make an impact. His next port of call will be the Qatar Stars League, with it being confirmed on Friday that the 33-year-old will join Al-Gharafa on an 18-month deal. "It's a nice adventure and a fun challenge," Sneijder told RTL Boulevard. "I am really happy to go for it together with my family." Sneijder, who was dropped from the Dutch national side's final World Cup qualifiers at the end of last season, will join former Manchester City youngster Vladimir Weiss at Al-Gharafa.
