Post fight, Rooney was recorded congratulating Bellew on his victory.

"Brilliant. I was nervous but I'm happy for him. Buzzing. Made up. Evertonian, fucking..."
Asked about the prospect of a rematch at Goodison Park, Rooney - who has been linked with a return to his boyhood club in recent weeks - initially appeared hesitant before Bellew interrupted.
"That's what he wants," the 34-year-old said.
