Manchester United overcame the heat and an abysmal refereeing decision to defeat Real Madrid in Santa Clara on Sunday.
Jose Mourinho’s side had taken the lead against the European champions shortly before half-time, Anthony Martial’s brilliant assist allowing Jesse Lingard to tap home from close range.
Their lead did not last, however, as the referee deemed a perfectly-timed tackle from new signing Victor Lindelöf as being worthy of a penalty for Real in the second half.
Seen in the footage below, it’s clear that the Swedish international wins the ball from Theo Hernandez, making very little contact with his opponent -if any at all.

Incredibly, the man in the middle saw fit to point to the spot, allowing Casemiro to level the scores.
Justice was done later on, however, as United went on to win the game via a particularly memorable penalty shootout.
