WATCH: Tammy Abraham wows new teammates with his initiation song

The voice of an angel

There are some that felt Tammy Abraham, despite his tender years, deserved a crack at Chelsea’s first team next season.

The 19-year-old bagged 23 goals while on loan at Bristol City last season, prompting some to suggest he might have worked his way into Antonio Conte’s plans for 2017/18. He hadn’t. Instead, Conte has seen fit to sanction another season-long loan for the youngster, this time at Swansea City.

Having joined up with Paul Clement’s side on their preseason tour of the US, Abraham was met with the news that he would have to perform a song for his new teammates as part of his initiation.

Videos of footballer initiation songs are nothing new to those us who spend enough of our time on social media – only a couple of weeks ago we were treated to John Terry’s efforts to sing Stand By Me for his new Aston Villa teammates – but rarely does it turn out that the player performing them has been blessed with the voice of an angel…

With that in mind, go an run yourself a nice, hot bath, light some scented candles and listen to young Tammy absolutely nailing Boys II Men’s End of the Road…

Never mind the fact he’s showing all the signs of being a prolific goalscorer, who wouldn’t want to listen to that soothing voice on those long coach trips back from an away game?
