Simon Mignolet is inherently funny. It's just a fact. We wish we knew why that was, but we don't. It's just there's something about the Liverpool goalkeeper that is hilarious, in the nicest possible way. We don't make the rules. It's not even about his sometimes iffy goalkeeping since he arrived at Anfield. We mean, that's part of it, but it's just one facet of his innate hilarity. We mean, just look at him posing with nuts and fruit, just because... On Saturday, Liverpool beat Leicester City in the Premier League Asia Trophy match in Hong Kong stadium, in Hong Kong. The final result was 2-1 to Jurgen Klopp's men, and Mignolet didn't even feature - his pal Loris Karius played. But that didn't stop the Belgian stopper from giving us a comedy turn by pulling a classic Mignolet. As the teams went up to receive their medals for such a prestigious honour, our Simon duly accepted his and went for a handshake of appreciation.
