He wasn't wrong...

It seems barely believable now, but there was a time when the knives were out for Frank Lampard.

He was fresh-faced youngster at West Ham and hadn’t exactly set the world alight with his early performances. So much so that many fans and pundits alike questioned his abilities.

Some even wondered whether it was a case of nepotism, seeing as both his dad, Frank Sr., and uncle Harry Redknapp were part of the Hammer’s management set-up.

But Harry wasn’t having any of it. As you can see here, he was absolutely convinced that young Frank was destined for greatness – and he was willing to stake his reputation on it.

“He will go right to the very top, right to the very top…there ain’t no doubt about that in my opinion,” he angrily stated.

You weren’t wrong, Harry mate…
