Yes, it was only preseason and yes, that Ronaldo bloke might have been absent, but a 4-1 victory for Manchester City over Real Madrid was still impressive.

Days on from losing on penalties to Manchester's other club in Santa Clara, Zinedine Zidane's side couldn't handle a Kevin De Bruyne-inspired City in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. Scoreless at the break, the Belgian had a hand in each of City's first three goals against the European champions as City ran riot in the second half. Nicolas Otamendi eventually gave City the lead following De Bruyne's corner, before the former Chelsea player set up goals for Raheem Sterling and John Stones. https://twitter.com/rumourkitchen/status/890451574388133888 https://twitter.com/j_villacreses/status/890436792977063936 https://twitter.com/FantasyYIRMA/status/890455859255488518 https://twitter.com/Med_Goha/status/890442621193261056 City's final goal came courtesy of youngster, Brahim Diaz, before Real pulled a stoppage time consolation back through Oscar. Pep Guardiola's side will now face Tottenham in Nashville. Their Premier League campaign begins away at Brighton on August 12, with their first home game coming against Everton nine days later.
