WATCH: Jamie Carragher’s comment about Hector Bellerin’s doppelganger is actually hilarious and bang on

Once you see/hear it, you won't be able to unsee/hear it

Fair play to Jamie – he got this spot on

There’s something about foreign Arsenal players taking on the local vernacular. Who can forget Jeremie Aliadiere, with his French/’Landan’ hybrid after years of plying his trade in the club’s academy. It seems Hector Bellerin has followed suit with his own take on the North London accent.

The Spanish full-back was talking to Sky just after the game with Chelsea on Wednesday night, alongside Eden Hazard, and was sporting his trademark hipster moustache (we say ‘moustache’, it’s more a Gary Neville style hairy wisp). But it was his mixed up drawl that was most noticeable.

As the programme cut to the studio, Jamie Carragher was aghast at how the 22-year-old sounded. He did however come up with the perfect comparison – Mickey Pearce from Only Fools and Horses. Carragher quite rightly observed that not only does Bellerin sound like Pearce, but he looks like his too!

And when you watch it again, it’s uncanny!
