WATCH: French skier produces stunning recovery to avoid high speed crash with outrageous athleticism

Maxence Muzaton had a(nother) lucky escape

Look at the image below. Just look at it. Doesn't look like this is going to end well, does it? Especially not when you hear the man in the picture, French skier Maxence Muzaton, was hurtling down a mountainside at 70mph at this point. *At least* a couple of broken bones coming his way, surely... But no. Miraculously, Muzaton escaped without serious injury, thanks to a moment of incredible athleticism (and probably a good slice of luck, too). Competing in the men's downhill event in Cortina, Muzaton snagged one of his skis 23 seconds into his run. Despite appearing destined for a nasty tumble, the 30-year-old styled it out, landing a 180 degree spin before turning sharply to face back down the mountainside a fraction of a second later.
