The complaints were loud and plentiful on social media, as viewers fumed that they could not watch the round of 16 tie - especially after they had missed an impressive goal from Seferovic to put the Swiss 1-0 up.
So no, it wasn't just your app. Everyone else watching on a laptop or an Amazon firestick suffered the same trouble.
But thankfully, Twitter came to the rescue with its brilliant humour and creativity to provide some comic relief for those missing the action.
