Tyson Fury's verdict on Anthony Joshua's defeat to Oleksandr Usyk has been revealed by his promoter, Frank Warren. Joshua was outfought from the very first round as the Ukrainian dominated in front of a sold-out crowd at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to become the new heavyweight champion of the world. The former cruiserweight champion romped home with ease, with judges scoring the fight 117-112, 116-112, 115-113 to gift Usyk the WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight belts. (Photo by Julian Finney/Getty Images)[/caption] Defeat for Joshua proved a disappointing blow and fuelled speculation that his chance to fight the 'Gyspy King' may be all but over. Following the defeat in the capital, Fury's co-promoter Frank Warren outlined the WBC heavyweight champion's thoughts to the media. Speaking to talkSPORT Warren said: "He [Joshua] just wasn't doing what you'd think a bigger guy would do. "I spoke to Tyson during the fight and we were both of the same opinion. "All Tyson could see was a massive big fight going down the drain, which is what happened." Warren then continued the criticism of Joshua's performance, claiming that he would have also struggled had his prized asset been in the ring with him. "All Usyk was doing was just totally outboxing him… "I said to Tyson, 'Can you imagine if you were in there with him, how long that would've lasted? Tyson's got as fast hands as Usyk's got, as good a boxing brain as Usyk's got and as good footwork as Usyk's got." Fury doesn't have long to wait until he returns to the ring himself, with the final of his trilogy of fights against Deontay Wilder taking place in Las Vegas on October 9th.
