A Twitter user with the handle '@TheAshes' has spent years telling people she's "Not a freaking cricket match", but now she's ready to capitalise on her unlikely fame.

Ashley Kerekes has decided to make and sell stuffed cricket balls to mark the start of this year's Ashes series, because who wouldn't want official @TheAshes memorabilia? IMG_4363 She's even considering knitting some new cricket ball beanie hats, after a favourable review or two. https://twitter.com/JustJimWillDo/status/618065298118152192 The rivalry between England and Australia's cricketers has brought Kerekes a flock of new fans, and she admits to only really using Twitter these days when The Ashes is on. She's not the only person to receive surprise attention due to their Twitter handle having something in common with a sporting event, and it can be a cause of frustration. https://twitter.com/chelsea/status/370611934329966592 Still, many, like Kerekes, have chosen to embrace it, rather than complaining about their timeline being clogged up. https://twitter.com/rvp/status/594828345746989056
