Transfer gossip: Man United prepare record bid for Thomas Muller

Manchester United continue to rush around the transfer window like Monty Brewster on a deadline.

According to Sport1 in Germany, Louis van Gaal’s number one target is Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller, and he’s already had a £57m bid rejected.

This is unlikely to deter United who are reportedly readying a second bid of around £70m, which will also be refused, apparently.

Red Reus

Talking about huge swaths of cash burning holes in pockets, Liverpool have around £50m fresh in their New Balance pants.

Following Raheem Sterling’s acrimonious but profitable departure to Manchester City, Brendan Rodgers has identified a replacement.

That man is Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus. Sadly for Rodgers, beIN Sports claim that Real Madrid also want him.

Rolling Stones

One club that usually get what they want in the transfer market are Chelsea, and more specifically Jose Mourinho.

He has his hawkeyes firmly trained upon his next victim – Everton’s talented young defender John Stones.

After having a £20m offer rejected by the Goodison club, the Mail report that Jose will return with a higher bid and catch his prey.
