Having finished second in the Premier League last season, Tottenham have had a relatively quiet transfer window.
However, with less than 24 hours to go before their season opener against Newcastle United, reports from France have indicated that Mauricio Pochettino has lodged a bid for Manchester United's Anthony Martial.
Details of the bid for the forward are still unclear, although RMC Sport have claimed United have already rejected it.

Martial joined United from Monaco in 2015 and impressed during his first season with the club. Still just 21, he didn't feature as regularly under Jose Mourinho last season - often appearing on the left wing following the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Although Mourinho has insisted on numerous occasions that he intends to keep the French international at Old Trafford, it hasn't stopped some reports this summer that he could be set to leave.
With United said to interested in bringing Internazionale's Ivan Perisic to the club, it was suggested by some media outlets in Italy that the Milan club wanted him as part of the deal.
How much truth there is in the rumour that Spurs want to take him to north London remains to be seen. If correct, it does seem a little ambitious of the club to expect United to allow a player of such huge potential to move to a Premier League rival.
