Speaking about the move, Keys 'exclusively' revealed on his show on beIN Sports on Friday that the new stadium would be known as 'Nike Stadium'.
“I believe I am right in saying the first league game will be played April 6th, Brighton the opposition,” he said.
“And that stadium I can exclusively reveal will be called ‘The Nike Stadium’.”
Despite Keys' claim, multiple reports have since suggested that Spurs had flatly denied that any such naming rights deal had been agreed.
The opening of the new stadium, which - for now, at least - is officially known as 'Tottenham Hotspur Stadium', has suffered numerous setbacks throughout the course of the current season.
In a bid to address safety concerns, Spurs are now holding a series of test events at the ground in order to get safety certificates from the local council.
Should all go well from this point onwards, the home fixture against Brighton, as Keys said, is likely to be the first game played there. It is, however, currently scheduled to be played on April 7, not April 6.Explore more on these topics:
