Fernando Hierro has made three changes to his line up

Spain take on Russia this afternoon in their round of 16 tie after they topped Group B after a chaotic end to the final round of group matches.

Fernando Hierro, who stepped in at the last minute after Julen Loeptegui was dismissed two days before the tournament, has been tweaking his line up for each game according to each opponent.

In the build up to today’s game, there was much speculation over whether David De Gea would be dropped after some shaky performances in the group stage.

The Manchester United keeper has kept his place, while Andrés Iniesta, Thiago and Dani Carvajal drop to the bench. Nacho, Koke and Marco Asensio step in to replace them.
