Thomas Muller can’t resist mocking Arjen Robben over Holland’s miserable Euro 2016 qualifying campaign

We’ve seen enough in the last 12 months to know that Thomas Muller is a bit of a joker.

True to form, Muller didn’t curb his p*ss-taking ways when it became clear that Bayern Munich team-mate Arjen Robben and his Dutch colleagues wouldn’t be appearing at Euro 2016.

Muller confessed that he couldn’t resist the urge to mock Robben about Holland’s failure to qualify for the tournament: “If not now, then when? You have to take advantage of these moments.

“It could be the other way round soon, so I’m going for it.”

Although a glimpse at some of the players available in the German squad might make us doubt that they’re on the cusp of a fall from grace similar to that of the Dutch, we can never be so sure in football.

Muller and his German squad have been preparing for friendlies against France and Robben’s Holland side in warm-up friendlies ahead of their bid to add the European title to the World Cup.
