Thankfully, helpful Twitter users have solved why Man United deleted their Starting XI tweet

Football fans are a typically unforgiving bunch, especially most of the lot that have access to Twitter accounts.

Just look at what happened when the person running the Manchester United twitter account deleted a couple of tweets about the team's starting lineup for the game with Arsenal on Sunday. Using their usual starting xi graphic, the lineup confirmed that Jose Mourinho had indeed rested a couple of key players ahead of the Europa League semi-final return with Celta Vigo on Thursday night... Spot the mistake? Probably not. Fortunately, several eagle-eyed Twitter users did spot it, and soon pointed out that it failed to show who would be United's captain  for the day - hardly a surprise given how many times the United captaincy has changed in recent weeks. https://twitter.com/RooVanMataZaj/status/861220857305333766 Their second tweet confirmed that Rooney would indeed be United's skipper for the game, and was met with numerous replies pointing out the error in the first tweet. Possibly because of the replies (but possibly not), the second tweet was also swiftly deleted.
