Teammates XI Quiz: England – 2018 World Cup Semi-Final vs Croatia

It's that time again

Yeah, you probably remember the game itself, but if you haven't stumbled across previous editions of the FootballJOE Teammates XI Quiz before, that isn't what we're testing here.

Nope, instead, we take the starting XI of a team from a particularly memorable game and use it as a gateway for a quiz looking at the careers of the individuals involved - in this case, it's England's semi-final defeat to Croatia in the 2018 World Cup semi-finals.

Sorry. We had no need to bring this up again, did we? Remember, though (assuming you're English), how good you felt in that first-half after Kieran Trippier scored that free-kick. Try not to think about the sense of inevitability that started to creep in when Kane DIDN'T SQUARE IT TO STERLING, and what happened after half-time.

Bitter-sweet memories, but the fact remains this is as close England have come to winning a World Cup since 1990, and for that reason, it's an opportunity for a quiz.

So yeah, all that's needed is for you to look at the players that started for England in that game then work out which of the four options did NOT play with them in a competitive senior game at any stage in their career - either for club or country.
