Swedish golfer begins first ever Open in style

David Lingmerth must think this Open lark is a piece of cake.

The 27-year-old golfer had only played in two majors before teeing off at St Andrews, but seven birdies in the first nine holes put him within reach for the best ever opening round in the tournament's history. McIlroy won the Open last year, but is unable to defend his title after suffering a footballing injury.
