Superstitious Liverpool fans should be fearful of this omen ahead of their game with Stoke

Brendan Rodgers should avoid all cracks on footpaths and make sure no black cats cross his path ahead of the opening day of the new season.

And now the man in black that day, referee Anthony Taylor, has been given his opening game assignment which just happens to be back at the Britannia for the game against the same team. Liverpool fans, fearful of omens and all that, should probably be concerned - any time Taylor is in charge of the Reds' games, things don't seem to turn out so well.
