Everyone still seems to assume that David de Gea will end up at the Bernabeu come the start of next season.

The assumption is that the Spaniard has a clause in his new deal with Man United that allows him to leave for Real Madrid for an agreed price. However, that's not accounting for the remarkable form of Keylor Navas. If possession is nine-tenths of the law, then perhaps the Costa Rican stopper may block any hopes De Gea has of displacing him for Los Blancos. Navas has been in fine form all season, but he surpassed himself on Saturday with a string of truly world-class saves against Celta Vigo that he had no right to make.
