We're starting to think Sunderland were subliminally influenced by that ice cream van stuck on the M6.

Fabio Borini has returned to Wearside on a permanent deal from Liverpool, and the Dick Advocaat-managed club have not covered themselves with glory when it comes to hashtagging. Sitting halfway between simplicity and laboured pun, it somehow fails to work on multiple levels. https://twitter.com/SunderlandAFC/status/638365732162654212 We suppose the shirt looks a bit like a Fab ice lolly on its side, and the trim looks like sprinkles? No? Well don't say we didn't try. https://twitter.com/Fabicelolly/status/606402903025283072 Perhaps the Black Cats should have spoken to one of their own strikers for hashtag advice. https://twitter.com/stevenfletch10/status/233229394825605121 Fletcher's hashtagging is up there with the all-time greats like former Newcastle striker Nile Ranger - perhaps it's a North East thing. https://twitter.com/NilePowerRanger/status/253823762699542528 Actually, come to think of it, it could just be the domain of strikers. https://twitter.com/MarvinSordell/status/256144148627865600
